Web application to map out the location of images near any given point
It allows you to see images of instagram or foursquare that are close to any given location.
On the dropdown on the top right corner, select the social network you would like to see images of. then on the map click on any open space to see images of that area. (clicking on markers isnt working currently only open areas)
Simple but pretty nice. Would have been cool if there were some more options like defining a time span (photos last week) or anything.
Interesting idea along the lines of the apple pictures map feature. The images are hard to sort where a lot exist.
Great idea! I really liked the concept but I'd like to suggest the inclusion of a search box to help find a place more easily and perhaps the use of round images would be more elegant to look in the map.
Nice idea! Unfortunately it didn't work well for my region. Foursquare pictures didn't work at all.
I really like the idea, with a more usable UI this would be lots of fun
good looking app, i am not sure if its finished though
I really enjoyed playing around with this :) Had fun checking out my local food spots to see what people are eating where :P The map felt a bit janky while panning, and the interface for loaded pictures could be make better/easier. Specifically when there are a bunch of photos in one spot, it was difficult to select a specific one. Otherwise, really awesome entry +1
Clean UI. I would like to even see the same images in a small sidebar.
Great use of third party api. Nice would be a "my position" button
Beautiful looking layout and color scheme. Couldn't really get it to load any images, however; is there something else I need to do?
There are a few decisions that I think could make this a really fun app. Such as looking for images in a range dependent on my zoom. Right now if I click somewhere the app finds a dozen or so images extremely close to where I clicked even if I'm zoomed out to see the entire city. Also something minor like a change of cursor. Mine still shows the "pan" hand and had me a little confused at first.
I like the concept of this app. It's nice to have a combination of several social networks at hand to see various photos. One thing I'd recommend is to make it easier when you initially load the page to see where there might be pictures. As it is, I had to zoom in and then I could see them. Maybe a flag or small icon could mark the spot where the photos are.
Cool idea to aggregate photos by location. Needs some UI feedback on map to let user know images are being looked up.
